
Dates are the fruits of the date palm, which grows mainly in the dry tropical and subtropical regions of Africa and Asia. They have an oval shape, a long and narrow seed (stone). Their fleshy part is very sweet. Until they ripen, their color is green, when ripe, it becomes yellow, golden brown, black or mahogany red, depending on the variety.
They are served dried, with lemon juice or cream. Dates are used to make pastries, ice cream, yogurt, pudding, mousses, and marmalade.
Storage: Store in a dry and ventilated place, preferably in a closed bag/box. Keep away from moisture!!!
