Heat the water: Heat the water almost to boiling point. The ideal temperature is around 80-90°C (176-194°F). If you don't have a thermometer, boil the water and then let it cool for a minute or two.
Steep the tea: Place the rose buds in a teapot or cup. Pour the hot water over them. Use about 1-2 teaspoons of rose buds or petals for each cup of water.
Steeping time: Let the tea steep for 5-10 minutes. The longer it steeps, the stronger the flavor. However, steeping too long can make the tea bitter.
Strain and serve: Strain the rose buds or petals and pour the tea into a cup. If you are using a teapot with an infuser, you can simply remove the infuser.
Optional additions: You can add honey, lemon or mint according to your taste preferences.
